A European plug is on the desk. If it does not suit your device, ask for an adapter at the front desk. International sockets are available at the reception against a deposit of CHF 10.-.

Air conditioning/heating

To keep your room cool, we advise you to leave your blinds closed during the day and open them when the sun goes down. Think about the environment, do not leave the air conditioning running in your absence.

For reasons of electricity saving, it will be automatically stopped by the housekeeping during the cleaning of your room. Thank you for your understanding.

You can either cool your room or heat it. The air conditioning/heating works with the remote control (please use the remote control under the central unit for proper operation)

Not all rooms have air conditioning. The 3rd floor of the hotel is equipped with fans.

Bar/Lounge

The hotel Bar/Lounge is open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dial internal Bar 650.

Baggage

It is possible to leave your luggage under surveillance during the day at the reception. We do not have a luggage service but we can help you if needed.

All our rooms are equipped with bathrobes and slippers.

Bikes

We provide two electric bikes (1 large and 1 medium) free of charge in the right season. They will be under your full responsibility in case of loss or theft. A release form must be filled out at the reception desk before obtaining them.

Bicycles are not allowed in the room, we have a closed bicycle room. The key must be requested at the reception or at the service. Electric bikes are not allowed for people under 16 years old.

Bill

In order to proceed more quickly to departure on the day of departure, we advise you to settle your hotel bill the evening before. The reception opens at 7am Monday to Saturday (Sunday at 8am). If you need to leave the hotel earlier, please pay your bill the day before.

Breakfast

Breakfast takes place from 7 am to 10 am in the Castel room. Possibility before 7 am, please contact the reception. Enjoy the most important meal of the day at our generous buffet.

Possibility to have breakfast in your room until 10 am on request.

When leaving the hotel, turn left, 100 m, then right on the front of the Pellet bakery is an ATM.

In the village of St-Léonard, 800m away, there is also a bank.

Check in and check out

Check-in is possible from 3:00 p.m. and check-out until 11:00 a.m. Depending on the occupancy rate, the room may not be ready by 3 p.m.

However, if the room was not occupied the day before, it is possible to check in before 3 p.m. For a checkout after 11:00 a.m., please contact the reception. We will give it to you as much as possible. After 12 p.m., the late checkout is chargeable.

Children/Babies

We have cots and high chairs for meals (4 in total). We do not have a babysitting service.

Children are welcome as long as you take care of them. Be responsible for your offspring’s behavior in relation to other customers!

The lobby/bar/restaurant/hallways/WC are not a playroom and the house decorations are not toys…
The chimney is not a slide…
Bicycles, scooters and rollerblades are not allowed inside the hotel.

The outdoor park is big enough for them to have fun.

Chimney

In the lobby is our fireplace area where a fire is lit in the evenings in winter for your comfort and cosy atmosphere. The service team takes care of adding the logs. Please do not do this yourself.

Chest / Treasure

You can deposit your valuables in the safe in your room. The instructions are on the cabinet door. For valuables, please deposit them in the hotel’s central safe. At checkout, please leave the safe open!

The insured amount for valuables in the room safe is CHF 1’000.-. We accept no liability for valuables exceeding this amount.

Cigarettes

Since July 1, 2009, smoking is prohibited in any public place indoors. Our hotel is therefore strictly non-smoking, also in all our rooms. Smoking is allowed on the outdoor terrace and the balcony of the room.
We have a smoking room in the lobby at the far left.
If a guest smokes in the room despite the ban, we will charge a supplement of CHF 300.00 for the complete cleaning of the room, bed linen, mattress and curtains. This amount can also be charged to your credit card after your departure.

Cleaning of the rooms

The cleaning of the rooms is done between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. If you leave the red “Do Not Disturb” card, the room will not be cleaned until the next day.

Coffee to go at the reception

We offer you a coffee for the road at your checkout. Ask for your capsule at the reception or at the service/bar (1 free capsule per customer at the beginning).

Climatisation

To keep your room cool, we recommend keeping your blinds closed during the day and opening them when the sun goes down. Think about the environment, don’t leave the air conditioning on while you are away. In order to save electricity, it will be automatically switched off by the housekeeping during the cleaning of your room. Thank you for your understanding.

Cushions/pillows

All our rooms are equipped with two feather pillows. If you are allergic to feathers, please inform us at the time of reservation, number of synthetic cushions limited.

Coworking

The Hôtel des Vignes is delighted to announce the opening of its coworking space in partnership with the company PuraWorka. Since November 1, 2020, as a hotel guest you have free access to the workspace during your stay. Password for the wifi: hotel-vignes. It is possible that all the workplaces are occupied. From then on, you can move to the hotel lobby to work as well.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome in our establishment. Two dogs per room maximum. They can accompany you in the entire hotel except for the breakfast room.

The price per night and per dog is CHF 10. We do not provide dog beds or dog bowls.

However, they are subject to the same rules as you inside the establishment, a correct behavior and a clean dress in order not to cause damage. You are fully responsible for your pet.

If we find that the instructions are not followed, we reserve the right to add additional cleaning and/or repair costs to your stay. If damage is found after your departure, the amount of the repairs will be charged to your credit card.

If your dog has the habit of climbing on beds and sofas, please ask for a sheet to protect the furniture from hair! Think of the allergic persons… thank you for your understanding.

Dogs / Toilets

The commune of Sion has installed a plastic bag dispenser outside the hotel on the left. The containers are 50 m to the left of the hotel and 50 m to the right of the hotel, both on the opposite side of the road. The reception will tell you their exact locations. Please pick up your dog’s “commission” with the bag, close it and put it in the container.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the police are handing out fines to people who do not pick up after their pets.

The park of the hotel is forbidden for the big needs of your pet.

Electricity

In Switzerland, we have a 230V electrical network.
An international plug is located on the desk.
If it does not fit your device, ask for an adapter at the reception. (Deposit of CHF 10.-)

Electric car

There is a possibility to charge electric cars. There is a terminal in front of the hotel entrance. If you don’t have an account with E-mobility, just scan the QR-Code and choose your payment method. The amount can not be put in extra on the rooms.

A type II charging cable is available at reception. 

Please move your vehicle when the charge is complete to make room for other cars.

Entrance of the hotel

The sliding doors at the entrance of the hotel are closed from 10 p.m.(Sunday with close at 21pm)

The room’s magnetic card opens the small night entrance door to the right of the main entrance. Please put your room card against the black device below the switch which will trigger this door to open. Then please push the door. There is no longer any service or presence from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Environment

You can help us to make the hotel as ecological as possible: use the towels for several days (see towels), don’t let the water run unnecessarily, keep the heaters at a reasonable temperature, turn off the lights etc… The air conditioners are turned off during the day by the housekeeping.

Family

We try to satisfy you in the best possible way so that your stay is unforgettable. Our team is very small and we work as a family. We do our best to make our house have a soul and make you feel at home. Our employees are part of our family and yours in mutual respect…

Forgotten objects

Be careful, to check your room well on departure, we charge an amount between CHF 20.- and CHF 30.- for the return of forgotten objects. We take the amount from your credit card. However, we do not send any object abroad, very excessive shipping and customs costs. Forgotten objects will be kept for 3 months after they will be donated to charity.

Fire

In the event of a fire, please remain calm. Raise the alarm by phone at the hotel reception number 590 during the following hours: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

You can also activate the alarm buttons located on each floor or by calling the fire department directly Tel. No. 118.

Be specific in your information, please give the room number as well as an accurate description of the extent of the fire. Close all windows and doors to prevent the fire from spreading with drafts.

Only take important documents with you and calmly leave your room. Do not use the elevator under any circumstances.

If it is impossible for you to reach the hallway or any emergency exits: stay in your room, close the doors and windows, block the openings with damp linen or towels.

The meeting point is in front of the hotel entrance on the left at the electric car charging places.

Fitness

A fitness room is located 2 minutes walk from the hotel on the other side of the main road. Please contact the reception desk to obtain the entrance card. Children under the age of 16 are not allowed in the fitness center.

Fumoir Davidoff-Lounge

Our hotel has a smoking room. You will find a selection of cigars from different brands. We also sell some cigarettes at the reception (Marlboro red and gold). Closing at 11 p.m. (Sunday closing at 9 p.m.). The smoking room is prohibited for people under the age of 18.

All our rooms as well as the bar, the bistro, the lounge and the seminar rooms offer fast (fiber optic) and free wireless internet access. Sometimes it can be blocked beyond our control. It is possible to restart the system. Please inform the reception in case of connection problems. The best Wifi coverage is provided in the lobby and coworking area.

Invoice

In order to proceed more quickly with checkout on the day of departure, we recommend that you pay your hotel bill the night before.
The reception opens at 7am on weekdays and at 8am on weekends. If you need to check out early, please pay your bill the day before.

Attention, here are the valid Swiss tickets. Since the end of April 2021, we no longer accept old tickets.

Next to the reception, you will find a wide selection of daily newspapers in French and German as well as various magazines.

If you take the newspapers to your room, please be so kind as to bring them back for everyone to enjoy.

Key / room’s card

Please return the magnetic room keys to us. Do not put your room card with your cell phone. She could be degaussed.

The room key allows you to enter through the night door which is to the right of the main entrance if it is closed. Please note that we do not have a night watchman. Laundry – Chemical cleaning

You can give us laundry to clean and iron. Delivery of linen before 9am to have it on the same day (weekend excluded). A price list is located in the wardrobe of your room. Please indicate your name and the number of the room on the sheet to fill. Once the list is filled, put everything in the plastic bag provided and leave the bag in your room so that the maid can take it or bring it directly to the reception.

Possibility of dry cleaning your clothes (chemical outside the hotel). Delivery of the linen before 9:00 a.m. delivery in the next 24 hours except the weekend.

Underground lake

In the neighboring village of St-Léonard, a 1 km walk from the hotel, is the underground lake. A privileged witness to the formation of the Alps, this navigable underground lake nestles in the hillside between 30 and 70 meters deep under the vineyard. Castle le Castel d’Uvrier

The Castel d’Uvrier is located 5 minutes walk behind the hotel in the vineyards. Departure from the Bisse de Clavau in the vineyards.

Bisse de Clavau

The bisse de Clavau, built around 1450, overlooks the Rhône plain between Sion and St Léonard. As you walk through it, you will discover magnificent panoramic views of the Alps and the plain as well as the famous and spectacular terraced vineyards, typical of the Valais vineyards. About 8 km at an altitude between 550 and 700 m. The travel time is 4 hours round trip.
Difficulty: magnificent low altitude walk that can be done late in the year. No particular difficulty except the passage of a small tunnel badly lit of about fifty meters.

In principle the establishment is quiet. However, there is worker traffic on weekdays from 6am to 8am. If your room faces the road, just close the windows during those hours and you won’t hear anything.

Spiders
